Dear Friends,
As of June 6, 2007 Karl
Steger will have retired after thirty four years of teaching in the Southern
York County School District. Mr. Steger
has been an inspiration to many students during his long career in our school
district. We know there are countless
Alumni who have their own cherished memories of Mr. Steger teaching them in
band, in general music, and of his many years of leadership and dedication to
the SHS Marching Band.
The Southern York County
School District Band Boosters is excited to announce the establishment of a
scholarship in Mr. Steger’s honor to commemorate his years of dedication to our
school, his love of music and his commitment to our students. This scholarship will be available to
graduating senior members of SHS Band who are pursuing education beyond high
school.
We invite you to join us in
this effort to fund Mr. Steger’s scholarship by making a donation. Donations to the scholarship fund can be made
payable to the Southern
A scholarship is a wonderful
way to honor Mr. Steger’s legacy and all donations, large or small, will be
greatly appreciated.
